This time-generous offering continues the format established by Elevation a few years ago - picking the best upbeat worship songs from the previous year's live Bible weeks and celebrations and packing them together onto a double-CD recording. So there's songs here from conventions as numerous and diverse as Detling, Grapevine, Keswick, Kingdom Faith, Newday, The Point, Soul Survivor and Spring Harvest! In addition to all that, several tracks are selected from recent live Trent and Vineyard UK discs. Plenty to choose from then, and there's some good 'uns among them. Thankfully, the accompanying booklet provides full song lyrics as well as details of lead singers' names, albums the tracks are taken from, songwriters and year of publication. A few of the many worship leaders performing here are Luke Finch, Stuart Barbour, Ben Cantelon, Tom Field, Nigel Briggs, Stuart Townend and Simon Brading. A couple of standout tracks to this reviewer's ears are Trent's rocking "Glorious Life", Keith & Kristyn Getty's stirring and wonderfully infectious new hymn "By Faith", and Dave Bell's vigorous take of Redman & Tomlin's "Our God". For those who are attracted by the thought of two-and-a-half hours of mainly full-on rock pop Brit-praise - this is for you!
