There's loads of three or four CD worship box sets on the market these days - most having been released just in the past few years. They tend to be priced at around the cost of one normal album and thus appear as a really good deal. But they may vary hugely in terms of song-age, quality and familiarity of worship tracks selected, so it's important to check out the playlist carefully before buying. This package comprises a 50-song grouping from Kingsway's backlist, dating mainly from the mid-'90s to the year 2006 or so. It's mainly - though not exclusively - UK artists that are featured, and while you're not going to find many of the truly big worship hits that appear on, eg, the 'Live To Worship' series, I was surprised at a) how many tracks I hadn't actually heard before and b) how good many of these sounded. So, yes we've got Redman's "Once Again" - but it's Christine Dente delivering it, and yes we're treated to Tim Hughes' "Beautiful One" - but it's Michelle Tunes who renders that one. Lots of other interesting songs too, most sung by the original artists. Not an insignificant collection.
