Following on from the successes of previous albums 'This Is Amazing Grace', '10 000 Reasons' and 'Relevation Song' the budget compilation album series '#worship' continues with this fourth instalment. The recording draws together a collection of current and contemporary songs of worship curated from a variety of songwriters such as Matt Redman, Chris Tomlin, Graham Kendrick, Paul Baloche and Brenton Brown amongst others. The 12-track album has an effective ebb and flow with a good balance and placement of songs. "One Thing Remains" is as up-beat and powerful as the original recording. The cover band has done well at capturing and conveying the heart of this song. "Our God Is Mercy" is given gentler treatment accompanied only by the simplicity of a piano and an acoustic guitar. The female lead vocal helps to add depth to the track. The special effects and energy levels are amped up again for "Love Came Down" that has a solid rhythm and driving electric guitar. "This Is My Worship" brings things down again and offers a more reflective, peaceful and heartfelt prayer of worship that will stay with the listener long after they have finished listening to the CD. As is common to recordings of this nature, musicians and lead singers are unnamed on the album sleeve.
