Veronica has been around the American music scene for many years as part of the hitmaking R&B gospel duo Angelo & Veronica but is now recording solo albums. The guest list on this project reads like a who's who of the American gospel scene, including Shirley Murdock, John P Kee, Canton Jones, Fred Hammond and the Mississippi Mass Choir. From the opening "World Wide Praise" with its Latin beat and prominent horn section through to the straight gospel belter "Expecting Great Things" and on to the modern pop feel of "Come On", it's Veronica's soulful voice which keeps you listening. The two Spanish-language tracks included fit seamlessly with the mix of styles and the whole album benefits from some excellent arrangements and top quality musicianship. An uplifting album from a rare talent.
