Worship albums are normally intended to inspire worship, yet my first reaction to this was to covet Vicky's awesome Gretsch White Falcon hollow body electric guitar that adorns her on the CD cover. As the first track starts, an electric guitar pierces the silence like a motorbike tearing down the freeway. However, electric guitars are not foremost on the album, as Vicky's vocals predominate over gentle synth sounds with searing electric guitars generally in the background. Now Vicky has moved from her Kent and Oxford homes to be based in the US, this album is showing some US influence. What you get is consistently quality songwriting that continues to justify her place in the shortlist of top worship leaders. The development is that the song style has moved away only slightly from the Vineyard/Soul Survivor worship songs suitable for church use, to slightly more American style inspirational songs. There are no tracks that stand out as being obvious candidates for inclusion in congregation worship. However the whole album is one that a listener can get passionate about, singing at the top of your karaoke voice whilst driving (legally) fast. These are clearly still worship songs with lyrics like "Where the spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. . . and your blood is enough is break ever chain" or "Thank you for my Salvation Day" but they sound more suited to a concert than a church. But no one can question the quality of this release.
