English-born worship leader Vicky Beeching is back with yet another powerful album, a follow-up to 2005's 'Yesterday, Today And Forever'. 'Painting The Invisible' contains Vicky's trademark combination of memorable melodies and thought-provoking lyrics and once again brings theology rich worship songs to the table. Beeching was mentored by Brian Doerksen while contributing to Vineyard releases before launching her solo career. On 'Painting The Invisible' Beeching's beautiful vocals and backing harmonies show range in the lows and highs, with passionate and breathy passages. Graceful piano work and nuanced sonic ambience are also more prominent in Beeching's guitar-based sound. "The Wonder Of The Cross" (despite sounding noticeably similar to Keith Getty's "In Christ Alone") seems destined to become a worship favourite. Also impressive is the atmospheric tranquillity of "Everlasting Arms" and the more autobiographical, intimate love song to the Lord, "Twenty Six Summers." This finely crafted worship album hits the mark over and over again.
