For more than 30 years Vineyard Music has been focused on bringing new songs to the contemporary church repertoires, and in that time some truly great songs and worship leaders have emerged. This offering (16 tracks and 77 minutes) showcases some of the writers and musicians currently at the core of the movement, with the majority of these tracks lifted from individual albums of theirs. There are some gems here, particularly outstanding being "All I Have" by new act Autumn In Repair and "As Children" by the Anahiem, California worship leader Jeremy Riddle. The most striking thing about this collection is the variety - the absence, if you like, of house style, and it is the stronger for that; there are a lot of guitars, but there is a lot more besides. There are too many excellent songs on here to mention them all (few weak ones, in actual fact), and while the end-to-end listen may lack a smooth, overall flow this matters little in the company of such passion for God and skilled writing. This is sharp worship away from the corporate centre - edgy, purposeful and effective.
