It would be tempting to say yet another Vineyard album but not after hitting the CD play button. Subtitled ‘A counter culture worship expierience’, this album is definitely a worship experience. The songs are well chosen and draw the listener deeper into worship and then to response. Through a variety of styles from the Quench-like title track to the very sparse piano, cello and vocals of “Heart Of The Heavans” the album is musically excellent. While there are no “bad” songs here there is occasionally that feeling of heard it before to some of the arrangements. This does not detract from the heart of worship and the album’s theme of dependence on God, which shines clearly from every track. A very good introduction to some wonderful songs from Vineyard Canada and likely to find its way into many people’s personal worship times.
