With a cover looking like a still from a BBC2 1960's re-run of The Fugitive it was not a promising start and this was to be affirmed by a rather poor opening track. Despite startling vocals from Amanda Lofts and very able classical guitar playing from Steve Lofts the track, "Visions", just isn't a strong enough song to open the album. Track 2 however begins with some excellent pan pipes which are a redeeming factor throughout the album. 'Sacred Mystery' is well produced and well played but the band is held back by some weak songs and stylistic schizophrenia. There are also some very obvious musical references to songs by Bob Dylan ("All Along The Watchtower") and T-Rex ("20th Century Boy")! To conclude, excellent musicianship, brilliant vocals, but a little more work needed in the song writing department.
