Billed as worship with two bands, Chris Janzen and also Irish twins, The Wildings, it was the latter outfit who sent this CD over, but to be fair, I should really check out the whole thing. This can best be described as edgy rock worship in the vein of Hootie And The Blowfish or Crash Test Dummies. As with much of this type of music, I'm afraid, it all passes by without leaving much of an impression, despite its undoubted earnestness. One problem with much of today's worship "on the edge" is that the congregational element where it's relatively easy to pick up and sing along with has seemingly vanished. Often seems more like performance to me, but then again, perhaps that's the idea.
