A re-mastered version of the only Wild Blue Yonder album originally put out by Frontline Records in 1987 this short lived group of Californian teenagers featured members of The Lifters and the precocious new talent Crystal Lewis. This reissue on Crystal's own MetroOne Records, sees Gene Eugene taking Terry Taylor's original master tapes and give them a remix. Along the way, he's re-jigged the running order from an 11 song two sided vinyl album into a 13 song CD. The late '80s country indie sound still shines through here and there and the couple of songs that extend the album really work really well so "Where Can I Go" and "Every Day" with their cow punk grooves are a welcome addition. The voice of Crystal Lewis still makes an ordinary band sound even better and this CD, put out in 1995, is definitely worth chasing up on eBay if you like that late '80s sound or you're a Lewis fan!
