In America there are three (well, there are probably 33 but three spring to mind) girt gospel groups with an almost interchangeable sound: Kingdom, Fulrel and Withers. All have soulfully right harmonies, good-but-hardly-unique switched lead vocals and producers who give them backing tracks with plenty of samples and today's soul rhythms. If, like me, you really go for soul-gospel you'll be fairly favourably inclined to this album before it hits the laser. But after the fairly dance worthy "Perfect Peace" it too often relies on dull songs, recycled rhythms and vocal arrangements which are a nod too dose to the Clark Sisters.
