I can only say that TC must like me as every time he gives me music to review I end up blessed by the content of the songs, to the extent I have to listen to the music over and over and over with great joy and praises. When you realise 'This Fellowship' is the culmination of a pioneering London church's 14 years of hard work and ministry, this album is particularly impressive. Hearing this I'm so excited about the future of black gospel music in Britain. Outstanding songs for me on this album are "In Your Will", even if it takes the choir to some of the roughest areas and trouble spots in the world. Standouts are "Over There", a funky, soulish BNGF-ish number with energy oozing from it, and the title track, which is the ethos of the whole album. Also outstanding are "I'll Make It", a song of resolution reminding us that by the grace of God we will make it through the storms of life, and "He Rescued Me", which gives the choir the opportunity to show off their excellent lead vocalist(s). "He's The Rock" continues this exhibition of gospel music at it's very, very best. "With My Hands Lifted Up" was perhaps the only track where the harmonies could be a bit tighter. I conclude by taking my hat off to Isaac Carter (MD) and the crew for a pleasurable listening experience. Gospel music certainly reaches parts other music just can't reach.
