Number seven in this instrumental only series, a short but lovely treatment of oldies and established newies. This string quartet have all paid for their music lessons and bring this wordless format to a possible conclusion^). Arrangements by Christopher Norton and others are very sympathetically executed, recording fidelity is broadcast standard and the perennial Les Moir oversees the whole show. Tracks include "When I Survey The Wondrous Cross", "Jesus, We Enthrone You", "All Hail The Power Of Jesus' Name" and - well, I'm sure you get the picture. "Jesus Put A Song Into Our Hearts", part of an "Israeli medley", is a particularly well executed track, dynamic, rhythm and melody all working beautifully from just four stringed instruments. You can sing along to the whole thing from words provided or, according to the sleeve notes, just unwind to the gentle strains after a hard day at work.
