As the similar name would suggest, this is the live version of last year's 'Love Riot' album by the Californian rock worship band, recorded at their own Ammunition Conference. Except that it isn't just 'Love Riot' live. 10 of the songs are new, as are the plethora of vocalists who augment the original pair of Christy Johnson and Sean Loche. It is very slick and professional sounding, though I found many of the lyrics to be quite clichéd and, frankly, unoriginal. But of course that is often the case with modern worship. It may be that Worth Dying For are keeping it simple specifically to allow new believers to join in without needing any great understanding of theology. The focus of Worth Dying For is on youth and young people, and in that respect they are trying to deliver uptempo and anthemic praise that this group can relate to and enjoy. "Never Look Back", "World Can't Take It Away" and closer "Savior" are probably the best examples of this format. However, they sometimes end up sounding like a worship version of Paramore.
