Being old enough to remember punk rock’s first coming, I welcome the return of the genre and particularly the new wave of British Christian bands that are bringing a fresh charge of pogoing energy to today’s youth music. To my ears, this is a considerable improvement on Zedisforzebra’s ‘Welcome To Fabulous Las Vegas‘ debut. Full of tuneful hooks and “secular” songs though I guess “Last Night”, with its bleak evocation of internal collapse, is not a song to send the audience home happy. Be that as it may, these guys are good as this five song EP, complete with intentionally hyper-cheesy sleeve, take no prisoners. Now, where can I get a True Romance tattoo?
