It's been two years since the band's debut 'The Beginning' was reviewed in these fair pages and the passage of time has seen Da Capo write and record an album of exclusively their own material which is a strong step in the right direction. In Sheila Blair they have a songwriter of skill whether she is expressing her faith or making observations. My favourites include the title cut which is a challenge to those who are judgmental whilst the opening "Turn" explores how God sees through the externals and calls people to discover that their biggest yearnings can be answered in God. Da Capo's songwriting and performances no doubt connect well in a live setting and this album is a step in the right direction. But if you love folk music, this is definitely one to check out.
