With rumours of a possible dc Talk reunion continuing, this, EMI CMG's latest back catalogue dredge, has particular piquancy. Mixing rap, R&B, pop and rock, Toby Mac, Michael Tait and Kevin Max were, of course, pioneers in helping put a generation of young people in touch with God. This 16 song compilation covers most of their best known songs including the anthemic "Jesus Freak", the rapping "Jesus Is Just Alright" and the much sweeter "Between You And Me" which CCM anoraks will tell you got to number 29 in the US Billboard Hot 100 chart. For fans of dc Talk (who may already have 'Intermission') there's nothing new here and, sadly, the booklet offers nothing more than track details and some nice band photos. But for anyone wanting find out what all the fuss was about, this is a good place to start. The accompanying DVD with eight videos and two live versions of the tracks on CD is a nice fill-up collection for those who never got to see dc Talk live. The final live DVD track, "Since I Met You" from 'Supernatural' is a gem.

Released in late June of 2007, this is quite the collection of the group to have; especially with the dvd of videos. I'll never forget seeing the video hit
"JESUS is Just Alright" on late night TBN; of course the 60's group The Byrds would hit the charts first in 1970 with the song. "Between You & Me" had hit written all over it! great song for ccm!member Toby co-wrote the song. I love the song "What If I Stumble";again another top notcher co-written by
member Toby. I prefer the original version of "Say the Words" from "Free at Last". "In The Light" has got to be one of my all time fave songs by the trio; just love the great ccm quality and lyrics; and ccm artist Charlie Peacock's added vocals. 1998's "Consume Me" & "My Will" great songs; wtg guys! This is what ccm is all about!! A live video of "My Will" in included. GOD Bless! - Don
