After nine years, Coventry's [dweeb] have decided that the time is right for them to disband. To say goodbye, the band are currently on a UK farewell tour and they have released this final single. Frontman Tim Alford has stated that "I personally think it is the best song we have ever written". Taking on the subject matter of modern reality and talent shows, the band show just how fleeting this type of fame is: "My new hero.until I get another one." With its driving danceable rhythm, "ooh, ooh" singalong and sarcastic lyric, you could have seen this becoming a centrepiece of their live show for years to come. Typically of [dweeb], there are plenty of electronic noises swirling around to keep you finding new bits on each listen, and Bman's guitar switches between the melody and high register licks to perfect effect. The single is available as a download on its own, or as a limited edition CD with three b-sides. Another great British Christian rock band has reached its conclusion, and one that has been much beloved by Cross Rhythms, but this is a definite high to end on.
