I do not wish to sound like a fanatic but from my explorations into the matter the promised "End of Days, the Great Announcement, the Day of Judgement, the Second Coming, Armageddon, etcetera" has already happened. The Gospel of Matthew cites specific signs of the coming all of which have been fulfilled. Now, although his holiness Jesus Christ taught in parables whose portent was clearly not literal but require us to contemplate their deeper meanings. Likewise, these prophesies of the Second Coming should not be interpreted literally. For example the mark of the beast would seem to suggest a movement of mankind to the satisfaction animal urges over the spiritual susceptibilities. Likewise, the Return is like a field of grain - the grain is seeded, germinates, grows and is harvested. If you set a camera up to take a still shot everyday a noon of the same field you will see the crop come and go and come again. In essence the grain has Returned but it isn't reincarnated into the same husk. A more traditional proof from the Book of Daniel which predicted the martyrdom of Christ seventy weeks ("The Day of the Lord is one year" Cf. 14:34) have from the rebuilding of Jerusalem. The third edict of Artaxerxes in 457 B.C., 490 years later Christ was Martyred at the age of 33. In the Eighth chapter of the Book of Daniel verse 14 "unto 2300 days; then the sanctuary be cleansed" refers to the Second Coming, so subtract 456 years to 1 A.D. and you get 1844 A.D. (there was no year 0 for those who celebrated the millennium a year too early) Anyways, I think it has been said before "seek and yea shall find..." the fulfilment of all the signs.
