Comment:	"if we are quick to criticise something then we close ourselves off from Him using it to work in us and ultimately we're the ones that miss out." Chapter and verse please. On the contrary, the Bereans were commended for questioning the teaching of the APOSTLES and ensuring that they conformed to scripture. "Whether or not something is or is not of God is not for us to judge and we are guilty of sin if we do." This is both illogical and unscriptural. What do you think the gift of discernment is all about. What do you think it means in 1 John when it commands us to "Test the spirits" ? (1 John 4:1) Gifts are not necessarily associated with any sort of maturity - the corinthian church was full of problems, and yet Paul said of them "You are lacking in no gift". To question the salvation of Todd Bentley is not for us - that is for God alone. To question his teachings is certainly a task that God gives us to do - God doesn't command us to have an 'open mind' about such things. Theology is very important, because theology states what we know about God. It is knowledge of God and the Son of God that ensures that we ".. may no longer be children, tossed to and fro by the waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by human cunning, by craftiness in deceitful schemes" (Ephesians 4:14)
