Comment: You close with Matthew 7:8, I love this verse, it's one of God's great promises but Matthew 7 also says this: "Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. By their fruit you will recognize them...Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?' Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!'" Strong words from Jesus, here's hoping that Todd Bentley embraces the grace of God and chooses repentance. And here's hoping that people stop chasing after "magic" Christianity, signs and wonders (check what Scripture has to say on that subject), angel worship (ditto) and choose instead to follow Jesus and only Jesus. As for the rest of us, let's be like Paul's beloved Bereans, and test everything against Scripture, especially the words of people claiming to speak for God to make sure that it is true. Let's watch out for "wolves" and do our best to keep others from them. Why else would Jesus warn us if it wasn't indeed a real danger? And furthermore, why would he tell us to be on the lookout if we weren't supposed to take action when those wolves attack?
