Comment:	It's sad to hear this news. I always did like The Call and also his solo album 'On the verge of a nervous breakthrough'. There was also a movie about a drug dealer with good songs by Michael Been. In their best moments The Call did sound al lot like The Band and Robbie Robertson and Garth Hudson did like The Call that much that they produced them or played together with them on their albums.
