It is encouraging to see the action of the members of the girl guides making their petition for the identification of airbrushed images. As added ammunition would be a greater awareness of the frequency of use of image manipulation in both stills and moving images - film and TV. magazines and advertising, Perhaps taught in school. The values and ideas behind this may not be that different than those in that are found in many paintings of the past- look at some of the examples of portrait and history paintings, quite often reflecting the artists and sometimes greatly influenced by the sitter or patron. The painter then was the 'photoshop software' of their time
