Even tho' Barry has recorded many gospel/ccm songs since the early 70's, he will always be remembered for his 1965 hit "Eve of Destruction". This 12 songset is a collection of Barry's favorites; he is probably the first of many gospel/ccm vets, like Evie, he got on the bandwagon early. The '73 song "Love Is"starts off side 1; I love side 1 ender, "Clouds". Side 2 begins with the nearly 5 minute & popular 1978 "Cosmic Cowboy", I love the story of the song. The follow up "Communion" is just so well written and performed: love this song wholeheartedly. The chorus to "Bullfrogs & Butterflies" is unforgettable! "There Is A Peace" from 1977 lp "Have You Heard", has touch of country aire; I really like this one. A song from 1974 lp "Lighten Up" ends the album, the piano flavored "Callin' Me Home"; what a nice song for closing: I love this song! Barry continues to deliver songs for 5 decades now, Wow! GOD Bless Barry and his many wonderful songs!-Don
