Comment: No longer a long running trio, but reduced to a duo. However to fill the void, several ccm top artists are recruited; to include former member Mel Tunney. I had heard the beautiful "After December Slips Away" play on radio airwaves; co-written by Bonnie Keen. I was so taken by the arrangement of "Child In The Manger" wtg David Maddux; Amy Grant and then husband Gary Chapman add their lead vocals. I must say that this is one of the top notch songs heard on this great Christmas cd. Wayne Watson adds his vocals for " See Amid the Winter Snow"; and Larnelle Harris brings his best vocals to the table for "What Child Is This?". Russ Taff is superb for a most favorite, "In The Bleak Midwinter": pop icon James Taylor did a most beautiful recording of the song for a Christmas cd in 2006. 5 years after departure, former member Mel Tunney returns to supply vocals with David Maddux for the song "Born A Sacrifice"; the song is done in total accappella and I highly applaud the performance. To Top off the list of guest vocalists, Ashley Cleveland provides wondrous and amazing vocals for the cd closer "The Little Road To Bethlehem". I never heard this song prior to this cd, I simply love it, what a song! (copyrighted in 1948). This Christmas cd is full of wonderful ccm sound, I strongly suggest purchasing a copy if you do not have one. GOD Bless! -Don
