Comment:	Whatever you imagine religion is teaching you, it isn't constitutional studies. The UK church is still established. It's part of the state, participates in the legislature, and has real, undemocratic influence. That's the kind of power it used to, for example, cover up its own set of abusive clerics. Given the recent use of parliamentary power to demand more exercise of state privilege, its seems unlikely the outcomes you describe are related to Christian ideology. Religion is politics - it just chooses to hide behind mythology to justify its positions.
