Comment:	Thanks for this helpful article Claire. I think you are right to point out the complexity of the issue for Christians, especially those who represent us as MPs. I also appreciated your observation that there are those who oppose changes in legislation on grounds of religious freedom while supporting in principle gay marriage. This clearly highlights your thesis that there is not just one question to think about here. What saddens me is how hard it is for Christians to have an informed debate on this issue. We can disagree but we ought to listen graciously to each other rather than just shut the conversation down by appeals to a particular view of the Bible. Thank you again for a very thoughtful article.
