At 50, I have just begun to use the musical talent God has given me. I have felt guilty about having waited. Seeing Mama Burks gives me new hope. God bless her -- I love that woman!!!

I am 72 and I am not tired yet, maybe slower but when I woke up this morning, it was a brand new day, she sang and I was released and felt like runnin, felt like singin, felt like shouting, and I wish I could sing with her.

Mosie, I show the video "America's Heart and Soul" to my students here in Long Beach each year. I have them write about which individual inspires them the most. You are one of my favorites! I sing "Swing Low, Sweet Chariot" right along with you. I stop the video and sing the second verse. Some of my students are shocked to hear me sing. What an inspiration! As you say, "Wow!" Keep on keeping on! We need more people like you. If you are ever in Long Beach, Long Beach Poly High School would welcome you. Praise the Lord:)

I have gone to bed each day with Mama Mosie Burks.
I also wake up each with Mama Mosie Burks.
I feel the love of the Lord in you, the same love I have for the Lord.
I'm a retired school teacher, but a daily practicing christain. I want to know if you are still touring?

Dear Mother Burks
The first time I saw you sing was with the Missippissi Mass Choir singing City Four Square. Thank God because of you there's no doubt in my mind that I can still cut my CD. Maybe one day by God's will we'll get to meet each other. P.S. my grandchildren and I sing with Northern Cal Chap of GMWA, we sing locally. My grandchildren's group is called God's Anointed Children. Again God Bless you for being an inspiration to me. Sister Victoria
