Great unbiased article. Refreshing to read something about AG that isn't sneering at her.
Hmmmm . . . whoever is without sin, get your stone ready. Seem to have read that somewhere.

hmmm..unbiased article..better read it again! Mr. Rimmer really flings the rumours out though, doesn't he. And why spread the rumours more! Especially when you don't know what is true and what is not true. Gary Chapman's name seems to be hurled through the mud, and all because of the "I heard this or I heard that!" Gary is still GOD's child!! Just like Amy is still GOD's child! I personally, do not approve of articles tearing down what belongs to GOD! Believers are to lift up and encourage, and not do what the world would do! Yes, I agree, we must be careful as believers not to throw stones; GOD is the Judge, so who is he that will condemn? I have heard and seen Amy in interviews; and not once did she tear down Gary Chapman; nor blame him for it all!! GOD continue to bless Amy for blessing so many lives with her music. Amy, you are loved more than you know!!

I love Amy Gs music. I don't care about her mistakes. Geepers, have christians forgotten that our bible is full of sinners, whom I swear count among the worse of the worst. Some christians can be so pompous sometimes. Rock on, Amy!!!

Hi Monique
In reply to your comment, yes it seems many christians (whoever they are) forget that SIN IS SIN!
If you have broken one, JUST ONE commandment, you have broken ALL! Like the old saying, if you are pointing one finger at someone, you have 3 pointing back at yourself. That would include Judging; it does say JUDGE NOT THAT YE BE NOT JUDGED! NOT once did JESUS condemn the woman caught in adultery! The so-called christians are so quick to judge on any one fault and send them to hell in a handbasket. On the other hand we should care if a brother or sister falls and help if we can; remember when we have done it unto the least of these, we have done the same unto JESUS. Are we supposed to keep company with those who continue to sin?? GOD forbid! Remember evil communications corrupt good manners.

Wonderful article!!! I am so tired of the Christian articles that bash Amy Grant. No one knows what happens in the privacy of others' homes. We have no place to judge. I have been listening to Amy Grant's music since the mid '80's.
Thank you for the refreshing article!!

Amy,
I met you years ago at a concert in Roanoke VA, I had just gone through an inner healing workshop at PTL and waited till the very end of the line to just shake your hand and say hello. I never will forget telling you that I had just been through the workshop and truly felt impressed to tell you that you are a beautiful person. I also put in your hand a cassette tape by Mark Oliver in your hand to listen to. I always wanted to be a back-up singer for you and even sent an audition tape to Brown Banister years ago. Well if you would by chance see this and still would like to have a great tenor back-up singer, I would be totally flattered. Who are we as Christians to judge, but only commanded to "Love" It is the job of "Grace" to handle our sins, mistakes, and failures and most importantly, our redemption.
