growing up in the seventh-day adventist church, my mother used to play Evie. her voice was so clear and her music was wonderful. i have wondered what happened to her all these years. would love to find her music for my children

From 1973 to 1985 I worked in the Scripture Union Bookshop in London in charge of the record dept and Iwas at the beginning of Evie's music career Iwas totally enraptured by her singing and vibrant personality,when the Word rep came to the shop Iwould ask him any more Evie records and Iwould play them and sold very many the biggest seller was Come on Ring Those Bells at Christmas.One is very special to me "Hold on a little while longer" because I was going through a tough time.The only regret I have IS I was away at a conference and Evie came to london and Imissed her,but I have all her records.God Bless her.

As a new christian many years ago, I heard evie's songs. I was backsliden for a time yet her songs echoed in my heart. I've returned to the lord and sing her songs to my daughter at night before we go to bed. Those songs did a lot for me. Thank god for his anointing on evie. I wish I could meet her someday.God bless you evie.

I love reading the comments Re:Evie. For the last 4yrs. I have been trying to restore much of her music. I am currently looking for "Restoration" and "Never the Same Again"..can someone help me? Lana from New Zealand, Thank-you for your suggestion. However, that website didn't have either of those albums...Could you contact me thru this website if you have another suggestion? Thank-you.

In a time where it is getting increasingly more difficult to tell the difference between 'christian' music and secular, Evie is a TREAT. I had a few of her albums and lost sight of them. After the holiday rush, I'm gonna start rebuilding my collection. Sadly I couldn't even get a christian station to play Evie now.
Evie, Sandy Patti, (the late) Keith Green...I MISS those days!!

I remember seeing Evie in concert in Portland, OR in 1978 on Valentine's Day. It happened to be my 20th birthday and I could not have asked for a better birthday present.
I have sang professionally over the last 30 years, not to the extend of being "famous," but I have sang a lot of Evie songs over the years and continue to do so.
Some of my favorites to sing are "Born Again," "Live for Jesus," and "Now is the Time."
I prasie God for all that Evie has brought to the world, for her faithfulness to continue to minister with her family.
