Tony Cummings and Mike Rimmer quizzed "the voice of Foreigner", LOU GRAMM
Continued from page 5
Mike: So now you've got a Christian rock album finished, do you see what you're doing now more than ever as being ministry as much as rock and roll?
Lou: It is in my own way. I've begun giving career talks for secondary school seniors before they move on to college or go out into life. My talks include the ups and downs of my career and the pitfalls that are there. I also emphasise the only thing that saved me.
Tony: What's your favourite song on the album?
Lou: I love "Made To Be Broken".
Mike: So do I. I think it's even more special to me now that you've told me all that story and what you've been through. It seems to resonate even more powerfully with me. And I also admire a man who's willing to try and do a cover version of "That's The Way God Planned It".
Lou: I love that song!
Mike: I do too!
Lou: I had the honour of performing with Billy Preston a number of years ago. In the mid '90s North West Airlines put together an All Star Band with Felix Cavaliere from the Rascals; Billy Preston, Steve Cropper and myself and we ended up playing the 1995 Super Bowl.

But all things can be accomplished with god. You still have your wife and family. I know this. I am a single mother who raised my daughter by myself. There were tough times. I lost my entire family to cancer and i had to battle it 3 times myself. I turned myself over to god and he has allowed me to see my daughter grown and in college. So if through all this you and your wife made it through then treasure it because it is for keeps. God bless and keep you well.
