30 years of Prom Praise commemorated at Royal Albert Hall
THE EVENT celebrating 30 years of Prom Praise, Easter Gala Prom Praise takes place at the Royal Albert Hall on 7th April. At the event the All Souls Orchestra and organist Gerard Brooks will perform a wide sweep of works ranging from Stuart Townend's "In Christ Alone" to Mascagni's "Easter Hymn". Said All Souls' conductor Noel Tredinnick, "Now we come to mark 30 years since the first Prom Praise concert in All Souls Church - in fact, it's also almost 20 years since our first transfer to the Royal Albert Hall. I trust you will be as delighted as we are to recognise the art of Christian songwriting, as we combine the personal appearances of Stuart Townend and Chris Eaton, two of the leading songwriters of our day (and include a premier of a brand new song specially written for us all by Townend and his writing partner Keith Getty). Hugely memorable, The Jubilate Hymns team will be in evidence, closing each half with 'Glory In The Highest' ('Pomp And Circumstance March No 1') and 'Lord For The Years'. How else could we end but with those two triumphant anthems?"
