Throughout the '70s Britain's Amaziah travelled the nation's motorways gigging in church halls, pubs and youth clubs with their abrasive brand of heavy rock. In 1979 they recorded an album of their compositions with titles like "Way, Truth, Life" and "He Is Lord" and sold a few at gigs. Unexpectedly, a revised version of the album was subsequently pressed and distributed by the Canadian Tunesmith label. Decades on the band were bemused to find heavy rock collectors prepared to shell out 500 pounds plus for a copy of their original vinyl. Thanks to the sterling efforts of re-issue specialist Retroactive Records, Amaziah's original bunch of raw rock tracks, together with four never before released demos, have been put together on an attractive digipak. Wrote Jesus Music expert Ken Scott, "Those with ears trained in homemade heavy rock monster sounds will find a real treasure here."
