The Tri-City Singers were one of gospel's biggest choirs a couple of years back and this is very much a comeback album. I did think that the unusual intro promised a little more than this album delivered. Nevertheless, there were plenty of contemporary sounds, soulful vocalists and Scriptural lyrics. This album mainly consisted of those slow soulful songs some of which build to a crescendo. But there were also one or two to leap around to. Usually the choir deliver the vocals with a gutsy soul fire and plenty of rich harmonies, but why did they put that keyboard sound in the background in the longest cut? But in balance, I would say that I enjoyed listening to this album of solid gospel music, though I doubt it will deliver the mega sales ala Kirk Franklin.
