Meet Myrrh Records' latest prodigy - 16 year old Jaci Velasquez. Her exquisite voice belies her age. She delivers the good with maturity and confidence. Although she has yet to break into the UK market, she's no stranger to performing. She appeared on the recent 4Him tour and sang at the White House as a child! 'Heavenly Place' isn't her first recording. She's made independent albums with her family's ministry. A veteran at 16! The songs are uplifting, boppy and intimate. "Un Lugar Celestial" is the Spanish spice in the pot, reflecting Jaci's Hispanic roots. There are two tracks which I love more than the others and couldn't work out why - until I looked and found out they were penned by Chris Eaton! "Flower In The Rain" is a beautiful prayer asking God to use me, even if I get broken and hurt. In "Thief Of Always" I am exhorted to "live every moment as though it was your last". Wise words. This is an impressive album, full of passion, poetry and a touch of reality. Highly recommended.

The day that ccm radio played the cut "On My Knees", we were
blessed!! I was talking with my boss, shortly after the
release of this cd; i.e. how young of a singer Jaci was, and
how she could sing! Not long afterwards, I saw the video
for the song; I was captivated even more! Jaci delivered
the song so beautifully with such honesty in her voice.
When I played the cd, "Flowers in the Rain" caught my
attention; written by the talented Chris Eaton. And then I
saw the video for "Un Lugar Celestial (a Heavenly Place)";I
just luved this song also!! Jaci is a much welcomed addition
to the ccm genre. I also have her "Best of " cd. GOD
Bless! -Don
