Featured on The Experience 2, this is well worth investigating. Take a singer with a soprano voice not dissimilar to Sheila Walsh and surround her not with the lush neo-Celtic excess of Americana (which made Sheila's recent return album such a disappointment) but instead funky R&B/hip hop street sounds and jazz changes concocted by Beehive's Rob May. The result is a creative tour-de-force with the funky "Sons" and the semi-instrumental "Boy" being particularly outstanding though the ballads too show that Jenny is a fine song interpreter while her song-writing, full of biting imagery, shows this gifted Londoner has the talent to go far. Recommended.
