At the time that this was filmed in 1994 Johnny's career had nose-dived in the States and therefore he must have been genuinely moved to have found such a big audience enjoying his music once again. It was a very much stripped down group accompanying the man in black as opposed to the large entourage that came with him on his halcyon days. We get many Cash favourites here such as "Folsom Prison Blues", "Sunday Morning Coming Down" and "Ring Of Fire". Radio 1 DJ Johnny Walker conducted two intriguing interviews where a beaming Cash who told him about his recent recording with Rick Rubin which had just started to make inroads to regaining his popularity in the States. What is very striking about this performance are some of the new songs, "The Beast In Me", "Let The Train Whistle Blow" and "The Man Who Couldn't Cry" which Johnny performs sitting on a stool with just his guitar. It is amazing to see how he had the very large and mainly young Glastonbury audience listening so attentively which only underlined the absolute star quality of the man.
