Dallas-based worship leader Abel, along with co-writer, producer and musician Cary Pierce, have come up with a great album full of song that rock out and that are sensitive when they need to be. The CD features one cover, the Chris Tomlin/Matt Redman penned "Wonderful Maker". Abel returns the favour to Tomlin who featured "Most High" under the name "How Awesome Is The Lord Most High" on the Passion 'Everything Glorious' album creating national attention in the US for Jon. Lyrically the album is coming straight from the heart as Jon shows integrity, unashamedly outlining the fears, doubts and struggles of life and pointing towards Jesus as the source of help and strength. This journey can be seen from the first track "In The Way" recognising the promises of Christ before reflecting on how easy it is to fall, the title track "More Than This" is a search in the midst of crisis where, as musically it is upbeat, the singer is hopeful. With a strong voice and catchy riffs, Jon Abel shows great talent and a promising future.
