KJ-52s project 'The Yearbook' has already been released and reviewed here on Cross Rhythms. To add extra flava, this has the full CD, plus a download via a code which gives you 13 extra tracks, two videos and a download of the lyrics (you need broadband!). "Do Yo Thang" has had a remix, both musically and lyrically from the original on 'The Yearbook' while the "Pump That" remix also gets the 4/4 treatment. These aren't the only remixes, with "Push It Up" also getting a contemporary makeover. As ever, we're treated to some crunk rollers, "Keep Shining" kicks in as KJ and Goldinchild rock about God's fire, "Let my whole life ignite and just shine about, till everyone every time knows what I'm about." Old skool drops (as you'd expect) in "Stuck In The 80s" with some TB-303 style drums. One thing you can guarantee from KJ is some fun about life's deepest issues. This time we find an ode to caffeine in "Starbucks Takes All My Money". Christ is central, with KJ-52 testifying to God's work in his life on "I Got It, I Got It". God's provision is affirmed in the gentle "I Can Never Forget You" featuring Liquid: "Anything we ever needed you still provide/That's what I've seen like each and every time." The soulful vibe continues in "I Need" while "What You Want" adds a fresh production element to keep things different.
