Stoneleigh vet Kate Simmonds has been moving on musically. This album is supposed to be a mix of contemporary and congregational songs. I had some difficulty telling the two apart, but this is no criticism: I was drawn into the contemporary songs and would have had some difficulty participating in the congregational numbers because they are no simple singalong choruses. All the songs, written or co-written by the lady herself, are as up to date as you can get: copyrighted 2002 and stylistically original (R&B-tinged acoustic praise and worship plus hints of funk and gospel). Trouble is the morning after I can't remember any of them.
