Reviewed by Phil Thomson We are told in reviewers class not to indulge in superlatives. What the heck - this is absolutely brilliant. I can't recall a kids' album as imaginative and full of surprises. Every rave/dance/club/rap trick in the book has been thrown into the mix to get us up onto the floor and using our bodies. The art is that we also can't help using our minds at the same time. Yet this is no parody. The tracks have been given a dance slant with such invention and creativity they also make perfect FM fodder. What is so interesting is that the integrity of the writing remains intact - so you feel good and you hear more. Non-kids, why not embarrass the family! You will need to watch out as you might well lose your inhibitions to songs from Jim Bailey ("I Don't Know What The Future Holds"), Brenton Brown ("Everlasting God", "Praise Is Rising"), Hillsong, Tim Hughes ("Whole World In His Hands"), Matt Redman ("Dancing Generation") and Martin Smith. Now, there is something you wouldn't have planned. There's a modest first name credit to the ICC Records team of Dan, Rich, Denise, Karen, Kyla and Phil who might just be the outstanding musos and voices behind the project. Whatever. This was great fun to listen to from the very first thump, and every turn gets better - soulful, raucous, edgy, cheeky; need I go on? All this and a great retro sleeve. Stand up Peter Martin, Phil Loose and Dan Boreham, the prods etc at ICC. You have fashioned a complete gem. Don't steal the money, kids. Just nag. What an excuse for the mums and dads to party!
