The three albums boxed together here were originally released by ICC as separate items - 'Pop' and 'Rock' in 2007 and 'Dance' in 2008 - and have all been excitedly reviewed by Cross Rhythms already - in fact, there are quotations from these reviews on the box. The 'Pop' and 'Rock' items were both excellently produced by Paul Burton and with top rate vocalists like Cathy Burton and Neil Wilson doing their bit and some tasty guitar work, this is quality children's music. The 'Dance' album was a bit of a mystery when it was released and remains one now. The recasting of songs from Brenton Brown, Tim Hughes, Hillsongs, Martin Smith as club music floor-fillers is excellent thought their original origin is unknown (the only thing the sleeve tells us is that Dan Boreham compiled the tracks). But leaving such discographic irritations aside this box offers invigorating and joyful music in styles which are just what kids want to hear. Packaging the three albums together at a bargain price will be greatly welcomed.
