Released in 2007, this is an album well worth looking out for, particularly if your tastes veer towards the Celtic end of worship music. Laura possesses a lovely, clear soprano, all these songs of tender devotion are penned by Laura and the production by multi-instrumentalist Graham Duffin (yep, the Wet Wet Wet guy) is good, though I'd have loved to have heard a uilleann pipe or a clarinet on a track or two. The melodies are suitably haunting and though occasionally the lyrics veer dangerously close to cliché ("Remember me, remember me/I gave my life to set you free"), the clear Christ-focussed songs are strong enough to ensure Laura's voice soaring forth over the rhythm tracks is an effecting sound. I've no idea whether Laura ever made another album, but this one is an engaging debut.
