Marion hails from the United States but has made her base in Vancouver, BC and her music betrays both Canadian and US influences. It's mainly Americana, but with a fair bit of alt country and folk thrown into the mix. The 11 self-penned songs on this 2005 CD showcase her great vocal style and her skill on guitar, mandolin and harmonica, as well as a number of superb arrangements which are brought to life courtesy of the Canadian Tosoff brothers (Bryon on piano and Ted on guitar and bass) and the award-winning fiddle player Mike Sanyshyn. The songs treat themes of love and home (the title track neatly combining the two) and cuts like "I Believe" (in peace, not necessarily God) and "End Of The Night" have a real down-home feel to them. This is a very well produced set of songs and really sets off Ms Walsh's undoubted talents.
