Currently based in Atlanta, the debut album from worship leader Micah Massey is an incredible offering and it is hard to believe that this is the 24 year old's first outing. "You Are The Way", a song that would easily appear in congregational worship, provides us with an energetic and upbeat album opening. The next few songs are much slower and reflective, providing us with a great opportunity for reflection. Things pick up again with the rallying "Lift Up", calling for the Church to rise up and be the hope that the world needs. Comparisons to Hillsong United are not unwarranted as this track would not be out of place on any one of their albums. His mature and professional approach to songwriting is apparent when we look at "Your Hands" and "Kingdom" - both serving to remind us that God has everything in control, and that at the end of it all his kingdom will remain. Whilst I hate drawing attention to his age, I must say that I am impressed by the maturity and craftsmanship that Massey possesses. I am sure that we will be hearing a lot more from him in years to come.
