Now let's face it. . . being one of the guitarists in the road band for Michael W. Smith's 'Go West' tour might be Big Time for CCM followers but it hardly exudes the mean streets credibility of a new rap hero. But Mike Wright, aka Mike E, isn't in fact some white boy trying to get funky but a 31 year old Detroiter who clearly copped a fair few licks from Clinton, Bootsy et al during the 70's development of surreal rock-tinged funk. Mike brings it all into the turbulent brew for a pretty convincing dance album with raps which sometimes give off sparks, witness the extraordinary lighting-mouthed "Rhythm In The Rhyme" or the laconic "Kick The Message". Plenty of inventive production ideas while Mike also plays some pretty hot rock guitar on "Lost Daze" which ends in a tribute to the gone but not forgotten D-Boy Rodriguez.

Trying to find the lyrics to the song 'Housin' by Mike-E and the G-rap Crew from 1991. And/or the entire album/CD/Cassette. Can you help?

Mike E music is very inspiring and I have really enjoyed it through the years. His music will never fad away because it has a message that will point the youth back to Jesus. He is a artist that God is using to tear down strong holds. I am praying that he will release a new album or reproduce his older ones. His music inspired me to start a gospel only dance club, and I am believing God that he will be a featured guess one day. He truly has a musical testimony.
