Ron is reasonably well known as a producer and has grabbed the chance to record an album of his own songs of faith. Acoustic driven R&B could be one description though this is a long way from the delights of a Babyface or (of an earlier era) Bill Withers. But, all in all, a good album if you're in that age of life where you just want something to while away the hours listening to. Lyrics are quite challenging and observant but a bit twee in places and the overall feel of the album reminds me of those Gospel Evenings put on for middle-age outreach in churches. Nice running length, too. Ron has a warm, soulful voice and a tendency towards folksey lyrical images but there's little here to engage the demanding listener.
