Down the years there have been many attempts to record stripped down acoustic versions of worship songs for those who prefer a more reflective approach to the standard rock bombast. This double CD is better than most thanks in part to top rate UK session musicians and singers and in part to the songwriting talents of a wide range of composers. Particularly strong songs are Nick Herbert's "The Cross Is Still Speaking Today", Kathryn Scott's "I Belong", Mark Tedder's "More Of You", Pete James' "Standing At The Cross" and Stuart Barbour's "Jesus Is Alive Today" while the acoustic guitars of Dan Wheeler, Dan Boreham and Dave Clifton and the vocals of such well known artists as Cathy Burton, Andreana Arganda, Quinton Delport, Nicki Rogers, etc all create a gentle atmosphere of adoration.

Product Description
Spring Harvest introduces the second in the series of its favourite worship songs in the Acoustic Worship collection.
Today's worship songwriters offer some rousing anthems for the church, but these versions allow them room to breathe, unwrapping the power of the melody and words, where their simple beauty can sometimes be diluted by big arrangements.
Here are songs performed as many churches will want to hear them - stripped back to a few essential instruments – and as many churches will play them. A reduced approach that is very popular with worship fans as well as a resource for the church - here then, less is quite definitely more!
