This double album features songs recorded live at previous Spring Harvests. It shows the incredible influence of Graham Kendrick in British worship - nine of the 30 songs here were penned by him, and he arranged one more. Well over half the songs are '90s material and I already knew virtually every one from both decades - 'There Is A Redeemer', 'Be Bold, Be Strong', 'Champion Of The World' - they're all here. The 'live' sound isn't always a bonus; some songs contain the annoying clapping factor, and several sound better on the songwriter's own albums. eg. 'To Be In Your Presence', "The Power Of Your Love". There are some special moments though - Chris Bowater's 'Faithful God', Delirious? 'Happy Song' and Trish Morgan's rendition of 'Days Of Elijah' all stand out. You're bound to have other favourites, but I do question the need for another worship compilation like this. True Spring Harvest devotees probably already have live SH albums featuring some of these songs. Anyone else seeking a bit of nostalgia would probably get equal benefit dipping backwards into his/her own collection.
